Meta pricing update effective October 1, 2026

- Service messages (free-text replies inside the 24-hour window) become billable per message, at the same rate as utility messages for your market.
- Every business phone number gets 1,000 free service messages per month; Meta charges from the 1,001st. The allowance resets monthly and doesn't roll over.
- Utility templates sent inside the 24-hour window, free since July 2025, are billed from the same date.
- Morocco leaves the 'Rest of Africa' region and gets its own rate card with higher utility and authentication rates; marketing rates also rise in Saudi Arabia and the UAE.
What you need to do: make sure a valid payment method is attached to your WhatsApp Business Account in Meta Business Manager (Billing Hub) before October 1, 2026. Numbers without a payment method stop sending once the free allowance is used.
