Invoice delivery

Invoice delivery on WhatsApp

Each order produces an invoice, and the invoice reaches the customer on WhatsApp as a PDF attached to an approved template. For Morocco, the document follows the formats of the DGI e-facture regime being phased in; for Saudi Arabia, it is produced as ZATCA phase-2 XML with a PDF/A-3 and QR code. Invoices are stored on trtWhats servers in the EU.

What your customer receives

Hello {customer_name}, here is your invoice {invoice_number} for order {order_id} from {store_name}. Amount: {amount} SAR including VAT. The PDF is attached to this message; please keep it for your records. Reply here if you need a correction.

Why it matters

  • One invoice per order, automatically

The invoice is generated when the order is paid or confirmed, numbered in sequence, and sent without anyone exporting a file by hand.

  • Aligned with DGI and ZATCA formats

Moroccan invoices follow the DGI e-facture structure as it is rolled out. Saudi invoices are issued as ZATCA phase-2 XML plus PDF/A-3 with QR.

  • Delivered where customers look

The PDF arrives in the customer's WhatsApp thread with your business, and the delivery receipt confirms it got there.

  • Stored and searchable

Every invoice stays attached to the contact and the order in the inbox, within your plan storage (2 GB on Starter up to 500 GB on Enterprise).

  • Data hosted in the EU

Invoices and customer data are processed on our own servers in the EU under Morocco law 09-08 (CNDP); a DPA is available on request.

  • MAD, SAR and AED

Amounts and currency follow the store's market. One setup covers your Moroccan, Saudi and Emirati customers.

How it works

  1. 01

    Connect the order source

Orders come from Salla, Zid, WooCommerce, Shopify, Odoo (Pro) or your own system via the REST API. Each order carries the line items, amounts and customer number.

  2. 02

    Set your invoice profile

Enter your legal entity details, tax identifiers, numbering sequence and logo. Choose the market: Morocco (DGI e-facture format), Saudi Arabia (ZATCA phase 2) or UAE (PDF).

  3. 03

    Generate on the chosen event

When the order is paid, confirmed or shipped, trtWhats builds the invoice: PDF on Starter; compliant e-invoice formats on Growth and above.

  4. 04

    Send as a utility template

The invoice is attached as a document to an approved utility template and sent to the customer. Delivery and read status appear in the inbox; a webhook can post the file back to your ERP.

Where it fits

  • E-commerce

A store on Salla issues a ZATCA-format invoice for every paid order and sends the PDF/A-3 to the buyer's WhatsApp minutes after checkout.

  • Clinics and laboratories

After a consultation or a test, the patient receives the invoice on WhatsApp for their insurance claim, with the clinic's tax identifiers on it.

  • Services and freelancers

An agency or a technician sends the invoice in the same thread where the job was agreed, then follows up on payment from the shared inbox.

  • Wholesale and distribution

Delivery invoices generated in Odoo are pushed to the buyer's WhatsApp, and a copy is filed per contact for accounting queries.

Questions about this feature

trtWhats produces documents in the formats required by the DGI e-facture regime (Morocco, phased rollout) and by ZATCA phase 2 (Saudi Arabia: XML and PDF/A-3 with QR). Registration with the tax authority, clearance and your own accounting obligations remain the responsibility of your company and your accountant.
