Abandoned cart recovery on WhatsApp
When a shopper adds products and leaves without paying, trtWhats sends a reminder on WhatsApp with the cart contents and a link to finish the order. Reminders only go to customers who opted in, use Meta-approved marketing templates, and stop at the cap you set so your number's quality rating stays green. Included from the Growth plan.
What your customer receives
Why it matters
A reminder in the customer's WhatsApp
The reminder lands in the same thread as the customer's order history, from your business number, with the product names and a direct link back to the cart.
Opt-in only, by design
Only contacts who agreed to receive messages from your business on WhatsApp get a reminder. Consent is stored per contact and checked before every send.
Capped to protect your rating
You set the maximum number of reminders per cart and the spacing between them. trtWhats enforces the cap, keeping your quality rating and messaging limits safe.
Replies go to a human or the bot
A customer who answers 'is it in stock?' reaches your shared inbox or the AI chatbot, which answers from your knowledge base and hands off when needed.
Works with your store
Salla, Zid, WooCommerce and Shopify send cart events natively on Growth. Any other checkout can post the event through the REST API and webhooks.
Recovered orders are tracked
Each reminder is linked to its cart. When the order is completed, it is marked as recovered so you can see what the sequence brings in.
How it works
- 01
Store sends the cart event
Your store notifies trtWhats when a cart is abandoned, with the items, amount and customer number. The contact's opt-in status is checked first.
- 02
Set delay, cap and templates
Choose when the first reminder goes out, how many follow and how far apart. Write the templates in Arabic, French or English with variables such as {item_name} and {cart_url}.
- 03
Templates approved by Meta
Cart reminders are marketing templates. We check the wording, variable samples and links before submission; approval takes minutes to 24 hours.
- 04
Send, stop, and measure
Reminders go out on schedule and stop as soon as the order is completed or the cap is reached. Recovered orders and replies appear in the inbox and via webhooks.
Where it fits
Fashion e-commerce
A clothing store on Salla reminds shoppers of the size and colour they left behind, with a link back to checkout; questions about fit go to the inbox.
Electronics and cash on delivery
A COD store sends one reminder with the cart total and delivery terms, then a confirmation request; unconfirmed carts stop at the cap.
Beauty and parapharmacy
A parapharmacy on Shopify reminds customers of routine products left in the cart and lets them reply to adjust quantities before paying.
Home and furniture
High-value carts get a reminder, then a message from a human agent in the shared inbox to answer delivery and payment questions.
